Miami’s defense disrupted the Nuggets’ offensive flow, resulting in the Heat leading 51-44 at halftime. Bam Adebayo spearheaded Miami’s charge with 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler struggled, mustering only 8 points on 2-for-8 shooting. On the Nuggets’ side, Jokic led the way with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, with Michael Porter Jr. also contributing solidly with 9 points and 8 rebounds.
Determined to turn the tide, the Nuggets came out swinging in the second half. They closed the third quarter with a 19-13 run, narrowing the game to a single point entering the final period.
