The Los Angeles Lakers and their fans are eagerly anticipating the return of LeBron James to the court after a lengthy absence. LeBron is set to make his comeback this evening against the Chicago Bulls. This will be his first game back since February 26th, when he suffered a foot injury against the Dallas Mavericks.

During his absence, the Lakers finished with a respectable record of 8-5, good enough to qualify as the eighth seed in a tight western conference race. However, there is no doubt that the team has missed the presence of their superstar player.

LeBron is known for his incredible scoring ability, as well as his impressive passing and rebounding skills. On the season, LeBron is averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. Without LeBron, the Lakers have had to rely on other players to step up and take on a larger role. Players like Anthony ‘Wilt’ Davis (nickname given by coach Ham) Dennis Schroder, and most notably the fan-favorite sophomore, Austin Reaves have all certainly stepped up in his absence, but there is no substitute for LeBron’s unique skill set.

LeBron’s return to the Lakers lineup will undoubtedly provide a boost to the team. His presence will provide a much-needed spark to the Lakers’ offense, and his leadership will be critical as the team looks to make a playoff push with just as little nine games remaining.

In conclusion, LeBron James’ return to the Lakers lineup is highly anticipated by the organization and its fans. His absence has certainly been felt by the team, but they have responded well despite the situation. As the club begins to get healthier, the sky is truly the limit for this franchise. The Lakers rank 2nd defensively since the trade deadline and their newfound depth will only continue at making strides in their development.
