The Miami Dolphins announced today the scholarship recipients for the sixth annual Nat Moore Scholarship Endowment Program, consisting of 12 local graduating seniors who will be furthering their studies at universities throughout the state of Florida and the southeast this fall.

Established in 2018, the Nat Moore Endowment Fund serves as the education pillar of the Miami Dolphins Foundation and provides graduating high school students in Miami Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach counties with the financial resources needed to pursue avenues of education and training for employment readiness. Since its inception, the scholarship program has provided more than 150 students with scholarships and vocational grants in excess of $2 million.

This year, the Nat Moore Endowment Fund in collaboration with Baptist Health, awarded 12 worthy students with scholarships – the most the program has granted for a graduating class since its inception.

Earlier this spring, the Miami Dolphins hosted their annual Draft Weekend Golf Classic presented by Baptist Health. The weekend commenced with a celebrity golf tournament at the Miami Beach Golf Club that included participation from former NFL players and was followed by the Draft Weekend Golf Classic Party which took place at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. All funds raised from the weekend benefited the Nat Moore Endowment Fund.

“Baptist Health is proud to continue as the presenting partner of the Draft Golf Classic Weekend” said Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, CEO of Doctors Hospital and Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute. “We take immense pride in the weekend’s programming, which further enhances our tremendous partnership with the Miami Dolphins and allows us to engage with the great South Florida community, contribute to positive community impacts such as the Nat Moore Endowment Fund, and ultimately, celebrate occurrences outside of the great game itself.”

In its sixth year under the Miami Dolphins Foundation, both the scholarship and the vocational grant are designed to bolster efforts in bridging the gap between receiving financial assistance and obtaining a degree or vocational diploma.

Selected through an application process that showcased community service, leadership, financial need and academic standing, this season’s scholarship was awarded to 12 graduating seniors from the local area.
