NBA Announces Ninth Canada Series: Raptors, Pistons, Kings, and Thunder Headlining

The anticipation is building as the National Basketball Association (NBA) announces the ninth installment of the NBA Canada Series presented by Bell, set to take place in October 2023. This series of preseason games is gearing up to showcase the vibrant talent emerging from the Canadian basketball scene and deliver an electrifying experience for fans.

The excitement commences on Sunday, Oct. 8, with a showdown at Vancouver’s iconic Rogers Arena. Toronto Raptors, led by two-time NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam, along with the 2021-22 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, will take on the 2022-23 NBA Pacific Division champion Sacramento Kings. This matchup guarantees an intense clash between these two teams, with Sacramento Kings featuring three-time NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox, and Canadian sensation Trey Lyles. Guiding the Kings is the experienced hand of Mike Brown, the unanimous 2022-23 NBA Coach of the Year.

Later, on Thursday, Oct. 12, the Bell Centre in Montréal becomes the epicenter of basketball passion. The Oklahoma City Thunder, boasting the talents of Canadians Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Montréal-native Luguentz Dort, will go up against the Detroit Pistons.
